Tranche 1 Transport Layer E:
Tranche 1 Transport Layer E is a Space Development Agency mission carrying military data-transport communications satellites for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. The payloads add to SDA’s optically linked Tranche 1 Transport Layer, which provides low-latency tactical data relay and supports missile-warning/missile-tracking data dissemination. SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launches the mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base into a polar low Earth orbit.
